Quick answer: Time does not automatically skip at curfew. Sleep at your home, an available shelter or the boat sofa to advance the day; the boat also gives you the option to keep fishing at night.
Ending the day
Return to a home, shelter or the boat sofa and interact with the sleep point. Use the C scan when you need to locate nearby interactable objects.
Before curfew
Complete time-sensitive travel, secure ingredients and finish interactions that may close later. If you are on the boat, you can continue night fishing or sleep there instead of returning across the city.
If progression seems stuck
Check the active quest objective, current time and accessible sleep point. Do not assume a quest bug until the required time window and a full sleep transition have both been tested.
